(一)前现代经济增长的特征

第一讲中提到中国未来经济快速增长的潜力主要来自于中国与世界发达国家之间存在的巨大技术差距。在研究技术进步与经济增长的关系上,最有名的学者是1971年诺贝尔经济学奖获得者西蒙·库兹涅茨(Simon Kuznets)。[1]他在研究中有一项非常有趣的发现:在前现代社会(工业革命前的社会)经济增长的特性是人口增加,经济规模扩大,但是人均收入却基本保持不变,这种增长属于外延性的增长。
