“I’m sorry. What does that mean?” I didn’t quite understand what he said. “That means it is already too late to apply for school this fall semester.” He answered me patiently. “Really?” I was a little disappointed. “Yes. The Graduate School accepts no applications after January 29th.

今天天气晴好，碧蓝清空，万里无云。今天我去了美国高校在中国的招生办，“有什么需要帮忙的吗？”学校辅导员问道。“是的，我想申请这里的研究生院.”我答道。“很好，你有什么特别的问题吗？”他继续问道。“没有，我在麦迪逊拜访朋友。我想要到这里上课，他告诉我到这间办公室来。”我回答。“你寄申请表来了吗？”当他问我这个的时候我觉得很遗憾为什么没有带呢？最后他不得不非常遗憾地告诉我，申请日期已经过了。“对不起，你说的是什么意思？”我并不确信他说的。

“那意思就是要申请在秋季入学已经太晚了。”他很耐心地回答道。“真的吗？”我感觉有点失望。

“是的，研究生院在1月29日后停止接受申请表。而现在已经是2月5日了。所以你申请的话，你必须申请明年的第一个学期。”他补充道。“那是明年的一月，是吗？”我问。“是的”他微笑地看着我回答。
