The ‘lapidario ’ of the Madrid list is thought to be Speculum Lapidum (The Mirror of Stones) by Camillo Leonardi di Pesaro, published in 1502 with a dedication to Cesare Borgia; Leonardo may have known the author. This book is too late for the Trivulzian reference.
