[336] 福克斯-诺斯联盟（Fox and North）：是指由英国辉格党政治家查尔斯·詹姆士·福克斯（Charles James Fox）与其政敌托利党前首相诺斯勋爵（Lord North）缔结的联合政府。这个政治联盟在1783年2月14日组成，随后在同年4月成功迫使亲乔治三世的辉格党首相谢尔本伯爵领导的政府垮台，继而上台执政，成为联合政府。这个由议会各派系组成的联合政府并不成功，也没有得到英皇乔治三世的支持。联合政府很快就因为多项争议而导致声望下滑，最后因为同年12月的《印度草案》不获上院通过，结果在乔治三世的压迫下垮台。——译注
