[15]日本参战序列中各部队的名称比较混乱。栗田的原第二舰队现在被命名为第一游击部队，又进一步分为A分遣队（栗田）和C分遣队（西村），但有一些日方资料也分别称其为第一和第二佯攻部队。小泽的航母舰队原本是第一机动部队，现在日本人称其为“本队”。志摩的舰队被命名为第二游击部队，但其原先被称为第五舰队，有些资料就采用了他们先前的称呼。本书根据大部分西方史料的习惯，将分别称之为南路舰队（西村），中路舰队（栗田），和北路舰队（小泽），有些时候会仅以指挥官的名字指代。志摩的10艘舰将简称为“志摩舰队”。——作者注
