五、结语：对“经济学茁壮期”来临的企盼

经济学在台湾的发展，从台湾光复算起也有56年了。伴随着台湾经济的快速成长，经济学也受到学界和当局的高度重视与支持。经济学者在台湾经济发展的道路上也对财经政策起了相当的影响和导正，充分发挥了经济学成为一门“经世济民”学问之任务。

回顾经济学在台湾从生根到发展的过程，可说是筚路蓝缕，充满了艰辛与困顿。从早期依赖少数国外院士的协助，到自己培养的学者在台湾的土地上能作出国际水平的学术研究，其中隐含着前辈师长不知多少的心血。对台湾本土问题的研究，一直是台湾经济学界最关心的问题，但在国际学术期刊上却经常难以发表，造成对国际经济学主流的影响不足，是台湾经济学发展的一大瓶颈。当前两岸经济关系日益密切，对台湾经济任一领域的研究都必然会与大陆经济难分其关联。未来的一个努力方向可加强对中国经济改革与两岸经贸关系的研究，所得成果应更为国际经济学界所重视。

台湾经济学界的老兵与新秀，多年来一直企盼台湾的经济学术能够起飞。本来以为20世纪90年代是起飞的年代，但如今又难免有些失落。过去10年台湾学界所发表的国际期刊文章虽多，但进入核心期刊的高质量文章不多，尚难影响国际学术主流。在新的世纪中，我们企盼看到经济学能够在台湾茁壮成长，经济学者能结合实务经验提出创新理论架构，对经济学术的发展更有贡献，让国际学术界刮目相看。
